Finding my jeweler

When David proposed last year on Christmas (read more about that here!), he proposed with a family ring. With much love and support, I was able to honor that heirloom by keeping the original stones, and also work with a wonderful jeweler to design a ring that fit my finger and my style. After hearing the news of my engagement and my desire to redesign my ring, a close friend suggested I consult with her longtime jeweler. The drawback, or so I thought, was the jeweler was out of state. However, I rolled with it because my friend knew the jeweler, and a trustworthy recommendation was most important to me. I was connected with Sindur, owner of Sindur Style.

Designing my cluster engagement ring

Working with Sindur to design my cluster engagement ring was an incredible experience! Our first conversation was over FaceTime. Even though we “met” virtually, I felt immediately comfortable for three key reasons:

Learning about me, the customer

Sindur took a sincere interest in me and knew all the right questions to ask. She not only asked about my style and jewelry taste, she also asked me about my lifestyle. For years, I’d pinned gorgeous engagement rings on Pinterest. My jeweler wanted to know all of this, and she literally looked at my Pinterest and photos to learn more about my hopeful aesthetic and style.

Taking time to design and find

Sindur knew how important it was for me to preserve aspects of my heirloom ring while also designing a ring I’d love to wear. Sindur was very patient with me as I described visions of an asymmetrical, abstract-vibed, cluster engagement ring. I shared some pretty pathetic sketches of what I had in mind and also a handful of images of inspiration. The return? Sindur sketched out ideas, made revisions and suggestions and literally even told me to “sleep on it.” Her commitment to helping me design a ring I’d love was a top-priority. When I wanted to add the perfect peachy-pink stones to my abstract design, Sindur searched for just the right ones to make me happy.

An experienced jeweler

Lastly, Sindur is incredibly creative, experienced and has a wealth of knowledge. She surprised me by continuously providing input on things I hadn’t even considered to ensure my cluster engagement ring was something I’d appreciate and cherish for years to come.

The design process was so easy. Sindur heard me out and gave me sketches and CAD files to finalize decisions. Even though our conversations were remote, I felt confident with my decisions and totally comfortable with Sindur.

Even with pandemic circumstances and winter weather, Sindur went above and beyond to get my newly designed, cluster engagement ring on my finger. I’ve been rocking and adoring my beautiful ring for over 6-months and each day I’m so happy and admire this special piece. I am grateful to have a relationship with a jeweler I trust not only in integrity but in jewelry design. I look forward to working with Sindur again for years to come!
