Alena turned 13! We had two fun-filled weekends celebrating her 13th year. To kickoff the celebrations, we went to Chicago over St. Patrick’s Day weekend to watch the iconic dyeing of the Chicago River. We spent the day in the city doing all kinds of touristy activities including visiting the famous Skydeck at Willis (ahem, Sears) Tower and eating at The Sugar Factory. Alena and her besties have memories to last a lifetime.
The next celebration was a black, gold and pink-themed, birthday sleepover for Alena and her group of girlfriends. They all had a blast with lots of laughs. So glad Alena has this group of friends in her world.
Happy birthday, Alena! I’m so proud of all you are and all you are becoming.
